April 25th, 2011

Dr.  Gavin Maxwell, Sports Chiropractor and Personal Trainer

Want to make golf simpler at the start of your season and hit it in the middle of the fairway off the first tee? Instead of thinking about the twenty different swing suggestions you’ve read in the magazines over the winter months, try these two simple tips to help you hit it straight in those early spring games.

1. Straight arm take away –this slows you down and sets up your swing to allow for a proper swing plane

2. Pick a target on the ground10 inches in front of the ball – swing your clubhead through that target.  This makes it easier to square your clubface at impact.

Keeping your golf swing simple will help you get some confidence in those first few games. Stay tuned for some great tips to get the most out of your game this season including proper warm ups to avoid injuries.

Client Testimonial

April 5th, 2011

Not only has Urban Athlete’s Physiotherapist Marni Blumfald helped with injuries I’ve sustained through sport and in life but she’s managed to put me on a path of total body maintenance that has me feeling better than I have ever felt. She’s professional, courteous, friendly and someone I trust with my body so much so that I consult her before my own physician.

I would recommend her to anyone who’s seeking help with an injury or just to keep their body in tip top shape.
